Does XER Toolkit have a feature for logic tracing?

Does XER Toolkit have a feature for logic tracing that allows users to track dependencies and visualise the logical flow between activities, especially for complex schedules? If not, are there any plans to introduce this functionality in the future?

Hi Mattxeronline, thanks for the question!

Yes, XER Toolkit does have a feature for logic tracing that allows users to track dependencies and visualize the logical flow between activities, which is particularly useful for complex schedules.

Here are two ways to do it:

  1. Schedule Viewer - Relationships Tab:
  • Select an activity in the Schedule Viewer.
  • Check the Relationships tab at the bottom of the page to view the predecessors and successors of the selected activity.
  • If you don’t see the information box at the bottom, right-click on the activity and select “Show Task Detail” to display it.
  1. Show Driving Paths Tool:
  • Right-click on an activity and select “Show Driving Path”.
  • This will open a new view of the schedule in the Schedule Viewer, displaying all activities that must be completed before the chosen activity can start.

Let me know if you need any more tips or guidance on using this feature!
